ASI Fest 2026: When a major event becomes a story to tell
Three days at the Misano World Circuit to celebrate 60 years of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano bringing together historic motoring, media relations, and content production.
ASI Fest 2026: when a major event becomes a story to tell
From September 25 to 27, the Misano World Circuit transformed into a grand stage dedicated to historic motoring. It hosted ASI Fest 2026, an event organized by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) to mark its 60th anniversary.
Over three days, cars, motorbikes, historic vehicles, collectors, clubs, and enthusiasts took to the track and the paddock, turning the Romagna circuit into a vibrant hub for automotive culture.
For PressMediaLAB, ASI Fest was also an extensive media relations and content production project, designed to support the event and create the ideal conditions for its many stories to reach the press.
One event, countless stories
ASI Fest was born with a clear mission: to celebrate ASI’s 60-year milestone by showcasing historic motoring in all its dimensions.
The result was a rich, multifaceted program featuring thematic exhibitions, track sessions, parades, institutional gatherings, and cultural highlights dedicated to historic vehicles. The Misano World Circuit effectively became an open-air museum, where ASI’s various commissions and federated clubs brought over a century and a half of mobility history to life.
From early velocipedes to military vehicles, and from agricultural machinery to racing machines, centenarian vehicles, and icons of Italian automotive design: ASI Fest brought diverse worlds together under a single shared passion.
This incredible depth of content made a thoughtful communication strategy essential.
Designing the Media Program
For PressMediaLAB, the work began well before the gates opened.
We curated the press program for Friday and Saturday, managing invitations and handling all logistics required for journalists’ attendance: hotel accommodations, vehicles, dedicated shuttles, and transfers.
While logistics might seem distant from core communication, it is actually fundamental: providing media professionals with seamless conditions allows them to connect directly with the protagonists and report on the event effectively.
From press conferences to One-on-One interviews
A key moment of the media program was Friday afternoon’s press conference, attended by the President of ASI and the journalists on site.
Following the conference, we coordinated targeted interviews, fostering direct dialogue between the media and key figures of the event. It was an essential opportunity to highlight not only ASI’s 60-year legacy, but also the significance of historic motoring as cultural, technical, and social heritage.
Storytelling through visuals
Today, comprehensive media coverage must go hand in hand with high-quality content production.
For ASI Fest, we deployed dedicated photography and video crews across both media days to ensure complete visual coverage. Photos, video footage, interviews, and live highlights supported our ongoing media relations work—supplying journalists with ready-to-use assets while building a lasting content archive for the event.
From news to distribution
Alongside our on-site activities, PressMediaLAB managed press release distribution, providing rolling updates across every stage of the event.
This process demands continuous coordination: the right information must reach the right desks at the right time, complete with materials that enable newsrooms to quickly turn live moments into engaging news stories.
When communication becomes part of the event
ASI Fest shows that behind every successful event lies far more than what meets the eye.
Turning a three-day gathering into a compelling media narrative requires meticulous planning, strong relationships, compelling content, and dedicated on-the-ground presence. In the case of ASI Fest, PressMediaLAB combined press office operations, media relations, logistical management, and photo/video production from early preparations to the final wrap-up.
An event like ASI Fest does not end when the track clears: it lives on through the relationships forged, the footage gathered, the interviews recorded, and the stories it inspires.
That is where PressMediaLAB makes a difference: turning an event appearance into a comprehensive communication project that bridges brands, media, and audiences.
Because effective communication isn’t just about reporting what happens—it’s about creating the right conditions for a story to find its voice, its audience, and its moment.
