Inter and BYD: A Strategic Partnership Between Sports and Sustainable Mobility Is Born
On July 21, 2025, PressMediaLAB took part in a major event for the Italian sports and technology scene: the official presentation of the partnership between FC Internazionale Milano and BYD, a global leader in electric mobility.
The press conference was held at the BPER Training Centre in Appiano Gentile, Inter’s headquarters, in an atmosphere full of excitement and forward-looking vision. The event marked the beginning of a three-year collaboration, far deeper than a simple sponsorship, and was covered by around 50 journalists, selected and coordinated by PressMediaLAB.
The event was opened by Inter’s CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, who emphasized the shared values between the club and BYD: identity, work ethic, ambition, and a spirit of continuous improvement. These values echoed throughout each speech and strategic decision presented during the event.
Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, spoke of a global and forward-thinking vision, describing the partnership as a “shared dream” among fans, athletes and sustainable mobility enthusiasts that, thanks to future projects, will translate into concrete actions that unite sports and responsible innovation.
The presence of Alfredo Altavilla, Executive Chairman of BYD Europe, and Alessandro Grosso, Country Manager for Italy, confirmed the strategic importance of the agreement, which is expected to have a significant impact both in sports and commercially.
During the day, two flagship models from the BYD lineup were unveiled: the Denza Z9 GT and the Sealion 7, both fully electric vehicles featuring refined design and advanced technological performance. These models will be made available to Inter’s first team and technical staff.
The event concluded with a Q&A session for the press and stakeholders, during which further details on upcoming projects were revealed. In particular, the progressive entry of the Denza brand into the European market was announced, with Italy leading the way.
